Norwegian Cruise Line Drink Prices: Cocktails & Starbucks Menu
One of the questions I see most often from Norwegian Cruise Line cruisers is how much drinks actually cost onboard.
While beverage packages get a lot of attention, many guests still prefer to pay as they go, especially when it comes to specialty cocktails and Starbucks drinks.
Recently, I came across a few Norwegian Cruise Line menus that provide a useful snapshot of current onboard pricing. While prices can vary slightly by ship and sailing, these menus offer a good look at what guests can expect to pay for specialty cocktails, Starbucks coffee, cold brew, Refreshers, Frappuccinos, and bakery items.
If you’re trying to budget for an upcoming cruise or decide whether a beverage package makes sense, these prices should help give you a better idea of what to expect onboard.
Quick Verdict
Norwegian Cruise Line drink prices are not cheap, especially once gratuity is added.
The menus I reviewed showed cocktails priced at $15, beers and hard seltzers around $7, standard wines by the glass around $12, and premium Free At Sea Plus wines and spirits reaching $25 or more. Starbucks drinks generally ranged from about $3.85 for brewed coffee to nearly $7 for specialty beverages and Frappuccinos.
For guests who enjoy multiple drinks per day, whether cocktails, wine, beer, premium spirits, or specialty coffee, Norwegian’s beverage packages can quickly become a better value than paying individually.

Norwegian Cruise Line Cocktail Prices
According to the menu, these cocktails were priced at $15 each for guests without the Free At Sea unlimited open bar package.
A 20% gratuity and beverage service charge is also added to bar purchases, so the final cost would be higher than the listed menu price.

Are Norwegian Cruise Line Cocktails Included With Free At Sea?
Based on the menu, these cocktails were listed as free for guests with the Free At Sea unlimited open bar package.
Guests without the package were charged $15 per cocktail, plus the added 20% gratuity and beverage service charge.
This is important because Norwegian’s drink packages can make a major difference depending on how often you order cocktails, wine, beer, soda, or other specialty beverages.
Norwegian Cruise Line Wine Prices
In addition to cocktails, Norwegian Cruise Line also offers an extensive wine selection by the glass. The menus I reviewed included everything from sparkling wine and rosé to premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Champagne, and dessert wines.
For guests without a beverage package, many wines by the glass were priced at approximately $12. Guests with the standard Free At Sea Unlimited Open Bar package generally receive access to the wines included in the standard wine menu, while Free At Sea Plus expands the selection considerably with more premium offerings.

Are Starbucks Drinks Included In Norwegian’s Drink Packages?
It depends on which package you have.
Starbucks drinks are generally not included in Norwegian’s standard Unlimited Open Bar package, which is the beverage package most guests receive through Free At Sea promotions.
However, Starbucks beverages are included with Free At Sea Plus, which adds Starbucks coffee drinks, specialty coffee, premium beverages, bottled water, energy drinks, and other upgraded perks. Norwegian also offers a separate Unlimited Starbucks Package for guests who expect to purchase Starbucks regularly during their cruise.
Because Norwegian occasionally updates its beverage package offerings and inclusions, I always recommend checking the current package details for your specific sailing before boarding.
Are Norwegian Cruise Line Drink Prices Worth It?
That depends on how you cruise.
If you only order one or two drinks during the day, paying individually may be fine. But if you enjoy cocktails, specialty coffee, refreshers, or multiple drinks per day, the total can add up quickly.
For example, one $15 cocktail becomes more expensive once the 20% beverage service charge is added. Add a Starbucks drink in the morning, a cocktail by the pool, and another drink at dinner, and suddenly onboard drinks become a noticeable part of your cruise budget.
For casual drinkers, paying as you go may still make sense.
For heavier drinkers or frequent specialty coffee buyers, it is worth comparing the drink package cost before sailing.
What Stood Out
On most of my cruises, I pay much more attention to cocktail prices than coffee prices, so the $15 cocktails immediately stood out. Once the 20% service charge is added, each drink costs around $18. For guests who enjoy a few cocktails by the pool and another drink with dinner, the Free At Sea package can start looking like a pretty good deal. On the other hand, if you’re only ordering the occasional cocktail, paying as you go may still be the cheaper option.
Final Thoughts
Norwegian Cruise Line offers one of the broadest beverage selections at sea, ranging from cocktails and premium spirits to wine, beer, Starbucks coffee, energy drinks, and alcohol-free options.
Based on the menus I reviewed, most standard cocktails were priced at $15, beers around $7, wines around $12, and some premium Free At Sea Plus wines and spirits up to $25 before gratuity. Once Norwegian’s 20% beverage service charge is added, those costs can add up surprisingly quickly.
Whether a drink package makes sense ultimately depends on your habits. Guests who only order an occasional beverage may save money paying as they go, while those who enjoy several drinks throughout the day will often find more value in Norwegian’s Unlimited Open Bar or Free At Sea Plus packages.
As always, menus, brands, and pricing can vary by ship and sailing, but these menus provide a good snapshot of what Norwegian cruisers can expect onboard in 2026.
