Carnival Celebration Pixels Gallery Photo Frames and Prices
If you take a lot of photos during a Carnival cruise, the Pixels Gallery has more than just the professional pictures taken around the ship. Carnival also sells cruise-themed picture frames and other photo merchandise that can turn one of those vacation photos into a souvenir.
During our Carnival Celebration cruise, we photographed several of the frames available in the Pixels Gallery, including Carnival porthole frames, a Ducky towel frame, an elephant towel frame and more traditional wood and metal frames. Some were also discounted during the sailing.
For more Carnival information, CruisePrism readers can also explore our Carnival Dining Menus, Carnival Drink Lists, and Carnival Onboard Guides for more information about restaurants, schedules and onboard activities.
Carnival Elephant Towel Frame – $29.95
One of the more unusual souvenirs available in the Pixels Gallery was the Elephant Towel Frame.
The frame is essentially a stuffed towel-animal-style elephant wrapped around a photo holder. It recreates one of the little touches many passengers associate with Carnival cruises: the towel animals left in staterooms.
The displayed price during this sailing was:
- Elephant Towel Frame: $29.95
- Tax & duty free
- Designed to hold a 4 x 6-inch photo
For anyone who loves Carnival’s towel animals, this is certainly more distinctive than bringing home a conventional picture frame.
Carnival Ducky Towel Frame – $34.95
Next to the elephants were Carnival’s Ducky Towel Frames. These yellow stuffed ducks wear sailor hats and uniforms, with the photograph displayed in the center of the body.
The price shown in the Pixels Gallery was:
- Ducky Towel Frame: $34.95
- Tax & duty free
Like the elephant version, this is designed as both a photo display and a Carnival-themed souvenir.
Carnival Porthole Photo Frames
The Pixels Gallery also had several porthole-style frames. These look like a ship’s round porthole and include Carnival branding along the bottom.
There were different colors and sizes available during our sailing.
4-Inch Carnival Porthole Frames
The smaller porthole frames are designed to display a 4-inch photo. Blue, white and red versions were visible in the Pixels Gallery.
At the time we photographed them, the blue frame was on sale.
The displayed prices were:
- Blue 4-inch Porthole Frame: $9.95 sale price, reduced from $12.95
- White 4-inch Porthole Frame: $12.95
The red version was also discounted during the cruise:
- Red 4-inch Porthole Frame: $9.95 sale price, reduced from $12.95
The red, white and blue options make these some of the most obviously nautical Carnival souvenirs in the gallery.
Additional boxed red porthole frames were stocked nearby, with the same $9.95 sale price displayed.
Because these photos capture pricing during one particular sailing, passengers should treat the amounts as examples rather than guaranteed prices for every Carnival cruise. Onboard merchandise prices and promotions can change.
Traditional Carnival Photo Frames
Not every frame in the Pixels Gallery was cruise-themed. Carnival also offered more conventional frames for passengers who wanted something that would fit easily with home décor.
Champagne Metal Frame – $25.97 Sale Price
A champagne-colored metal frame was displayed with Carnival branding along the top.
The sale sign showed:
- Regular price: $29.95
- Sale price: $25.97
- Tax & duty free
This is a more understated option for displaying a cruise portrait without choosing a frame shaped like a porthole or towel animal.
Black Wood Frame – $25.97 Sale Price
The black wood frame was also marked down during the sailing.
The displayed pricing was:
- Regular price: $29.95
- Sale price: $25.97
- Tax & duty free
A nearby Pixels Gallery promotion advertised an additional benefit for purchasing a frame with a photo.
The sign stated that guests purchasing the frame with any photo would receive an additional print sized for that frame at no additional charge. The additional print would be of the same photo purchased.
Because this was advertised as “Today’s Pixels Dust,” it should be considered a limited promotion rather than something passengers should expect on every sailing.
Whitewash Wood Frame – $25.97 Sale Price
A whitewash wood version was displayed above the black frame.
Its sign also showed:
- Regular price: $29.95
- Sale price: $25.97
- Tax & duty free
The lighter frame provides another traditional option for passengers who want to display a professional cruise portrait without prominent nautical styling.
Large 8-Inch Carnival Porthole Frames
Carnival also sells a substantially larger version of its porthole frame.
White 8-Inch Porthole Frame – $29.95
The large white porthole frame was priced at:
- $29.95
- Tax & duty free
- Designed to display an 8-inch photo
The larger size makes the porthole design considerably more prominent than the smaller 4-inch versions.
Blue 8-Inch Porthole Frame – $19.95 Sale Price
The blue 8-inch version was discounted during our visit to Pixels Gallery.
The sign showed:
- Regular price: $29.95
- Sale price: $19.95
- Tax & duty free
That made it $10 less than the white 8-inch version at the time these photos were taken.
How Carnival’s Pixels Gallery Works
Pixels is Carnival Cruise Line’s onboard photography service. Carnival photographers take both posed and candid photographs throughout a cruise, including portraits, dining photos, gangway pictures and photos taken around the ship.
Carnival Celebration has a digital Pixels Photo Gallery. Guests can view their cruise photos digitally and purchase the images they want rather than having to buy every picture taken.
There is no obligation to purchase photos simply because a Carnival photographer takes your picture, so passengers can pose for different photographs during the sailing and decide later which ones they want.
The Pixels Gallery also sells photo-related merchandise, including picture frames, albums and other items. The exact selection and prices can vary.

Should You Wait for a Pixels Gallery Sale?
Based strictly on what was displayed during this Carnival Celebration cruise, some photo frames were discounted while others remained at their regular prices.
For example, the 4-inch blue and red porthole frames were reduced from $12.95 to $9.95, while the white version remained $12.95. The large blue 8-inch porthole frame was reduced from $29.95 to $19.95, while the white version remained $29.95.
The traditional frames were also discounted from $29.95 to $25.97 when photographed.
This does not mean the same discounts will appear on every cruise, but it does show that Pixels Gallery promotions can occur onboard. If you see a frame you like early in the sailing, it may be worth checking the gallery again for current offers while keeping in mind that merchandise availability can also change.
Buying Carnival Cruise Photos
Carnival states that professional photographers work around the ship throughout the cruise, including at portrait setups, dining areas, gangways and other locations.
On Carnival Celebration, passengers can view their images through the digital Pixels system. Photos can then be purchased as digital downloads or prints.
One important consideration is timing: Carnival advises that cruise photos are generally only available for purchase while onboard. Passengers interested in buying their professional pictures should therefore make their selections before the cruise ends rather than assuming they can simply order them after returning home.
