Cunard Spa Prices: Mareel Wellness & Beauty Guide (With Photos)

If you’re considering treating yourself during a Cunard cruise, one of the biggest questions is simple: how much does the spa actually cost?

While Cunard’s website explains the types of treatments available onboard, complete price lists are surprisingly difficult to find. During my cruise I photographed the current Mareel Wellness & Beauty spa menus, including individual treatment prices and the available wellness packages.

If you’re trying to budget your cruise vacation—or simply wondering whether the spa is worth it—this guide should give you a realistic idea of what to expect.

Mareel Wellness & Beauty

Cunard’s spa is known as Mareel Wellness & Beauty, and it’s available across the fleet.

The spa focuses on relaxation, beauty treatments, massages, facials, salon services, acupuncture, fitness consultations, and access to the thermal spa areas. Depending on the ship, you’ll also find hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, saunas, heated loungers, and specialty wellness experiences.

Cunard Spa Price List

Cunard Mareel Wellness & Beauty spa price list showing massage, facial, salon, fitness, nail, and body treatment prices.

The treatment menu covers a surprisingly wide variety of services.

Some of the major categories include:

  • Facial therapies
  • Massage treatments
  • Body treatments
  • Cryotherapy
  • Body sculpting
  • Hair salon
  • Barber services
  • Nail services
  • Acupuncture
  • Reflexology
  • Personal fitness sessions
  • Yoga and Pilates

Massage prices generally range from approximately $179–$299, depending on the treatment and length.

Facials range from approximately $199–$249, while specialty body treatments can reach $399 for premium experiences.

The menu also includes aesthetic treatments such as fillers, wrinkle treatments, microneedling, skin tightening, and fat reduction, although these are priced after consultation.

Thermal Spa Access

One item many guests ask about is access to Cunard’s thermal spa.

The price list I photographed shows:

  • 1-day Thermal Area Pass: $88
  • 10-day Thermal Area Pass: $248

Keep in mind that Cunard has adjusted thermal suite pricing over the years, and newer ships may charge differently depending on the itinerary and ship. Current official pricing on some ships is sold as timed two-hour sessions rather than unlimited daily access.

Wellness Packages

Cunard Mareel Wellness & Beauty wellness packages with thermal spa access, massage, facial, salon treatments, and package prices.

Cunard periodically updates spa promotions and packages, so prices may vary by ship and voyage

f you’re planning on booking multiple treatments, Cunard also sells bundled wellness packages.

If you’re already planning multiple treatments, these packages appear to provide noticeably better value than booking everything separately.

Is the Cunard Spa Worth It?

Whether the spa is worth the money really depends on what you’re looking for.

Personally, I’m not someone who books spa treatments on every cruise.

I’ve used the thermal area aboard MSC Cruises, and I also had a facial once on Royal Caribbean, so I have some experience with cruise ship spas—but it’s not something I automatically purchase every vacation.

That said, I completely understand why many Cunard guests make it part of their cruise experience.

Cunard is generally a quieter, more traditional cruise line than many of its competitors. Sea days tend to be slower paced, making a massage or several hours in the thermal spa fit naturally into the overall atmosphere of the voyage.

If relaxation is one of your priorities, the spa can be a great addition to your trip.

How Cunard Compares to Other Cruise Lines

Spa pricing on Cunard is generally similar to what you’ll find across the premium cruise industry.

Compared with lines like:

  • Royal Caribbean
  • Celebrity Cruises
  • Norwegian Cruise Line
  • Princess Cruises
  • Holland America Line

massage prices are usually within the same general range.

Where Cunard differs is in the atmosphere.

Rather than emphasizing high-energy spa promotions or aggressive sales, the onboard experience feels more refined and relaxed, matching the rest of the Cunard brand.

The thermal facilities themselves are also among the nicer wellness areas you’ll find at sea, particularly on the newer ships.

Things to Know Before Booking

  • Spa appointments often receive discounts on embarkation day or during port days.
  • Popular massage times on sea days can book up quickly.
  • Thermal spa access is usually purchased separately unless included in a package.
  • An automatic service charge is added to spa treatments. Cunard’s official Mareel documentation currently lists a gratuity added to treatments, although the percentage has changed over time depending on the sailing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cunard have a thermal spa?

Yes. Most Cunard ships feature the Mareel Aqua Therapy Centre with thermal facilities such as saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy features, heated loungers, and relaxation areas. Exact facilities vary by ship.

How much is the Cunard thermal spa?

The price list photographed onboard shows $88 for one day or $248 for ten days. Cunard also sells timed thermal suite sessions on some ships, so pricing may vary by vessel and itinerary.

Are spa packages worth buying?

If you’re planning to book multiple treatments, the Silver, Gold, and Diamond packages generally offer better value than purchasing everything individually.

Can I book spa treatments before my cruise?

Yes. Many treatments can be reserved before sailing through My Cunard or once you’re onboard, subject to availability.

Final Thoughts

Cunard’s Mareel Wellness & Beauty spa offers a broad selection of massages, facials, body treatments, salon services, wellness consultations, and thermal spa experiences.

While spa treatments are certainly an extra expense, they can become one of the most relaxing parts of a Cunard voyage—especially if you enjoy sea days and want a quieter escape from the rest of the ship.

Hopefully these onboard photos give you a much better idea of current Cunard spa pricing before you sail.
