Carnival Celebration Fun Shops: Souvenirs, Merchandise and Prices

If you want to bring home something from Carnival Celebration, the onboard shops have plenty of Carnival-branded merchandise, from inexpensive magnets and lanyards to clothing, mugs and a detailed model of the ship. During my Carnival Celebration cruise, I photographed several displays and sale signs inside the shops, giving a useful look at both the merchandise and some of the actual onboard prices.

The selection goes well beyond generic Carnival souvenirs. There were also items specifically branded for Carnival Celebration, which are much more interesting if you want something that reminds you of the particular ship you sailed on. As with any cruise ship shop, merchandise, availability, promotions and prices can change from one sailing to another, so the photos below should be treated as a snapshot of what was offered during this cruise.

Carnival Lanyards and Accessories

Lanyards are one of the most practical souvenirs sold onboard because they can be used during the cruise to carry a Sail & Sign card.

The shop had a surprisingly large selection, including basic Carnival-branded styles and more decorative fashion lanyards. Colors visible during my visit included red, blue, black, gold and silver.

The pricing signs showed:

  • Fashion lanyards: 2 for $20, with exclusions applying
  • Carnival lanyard: $6.95

The less expensive Carnival lanyards are an easy option for passengers who simply want something functional, while the fashion versions offer a more decorative alternative.

Carnival Celebration Mugs

One of the more ship-specific souvenirs was the collection of Carnival Celebration mugs.

The designs photographed onboard featured images of Carnival Celebration in the cruise line’s familiar red, white and blue colors. Some were predominantly navy blue, while others incorporated red.

During this visit, a promotional sign advertised Carnival Cruise mugs at:

  • 2 for $20

For passengers who prefer practical souvenirs rather than something purely decorative, a ship-specific coffee mug is an easy way to bring a piece of the cruise home.

Carnival Celebration Ship Model

One of the standout souvenirs was the official licensed Carnival Celebration ship model.

Unlike generic Carnival merchandise, this is specifically modeled after Carnival Celebration and was displayed on a base identifying the ship by name.

The photographed price was:

  • Carnival Celebration resin ship model: $65.95

This was one of the more expensive Carnival Celebration souvenirs shown in these photos, but it is also one of the most distinctive. For cruise ship collectors or passengers who collect a model from every ship they sail, this is likely to be one of the more interesting items in the store.

The same display also gives a good look at some of the Carnival-branded clothing available onboard.

Carnival T-Shirts and Hats

Carnival apparel occupied a significant amount of space in the shop. The photographed displays included folded T-shirts in several designs and colors, along with Carnival baseball caps.

A promotion during the sailing offered:

  • Ship T-shirts and hats: 2 for $40, with exclusions applying

The shirts pictured included designs in blue, gray, black and other colors, with Carnival and cruise-inspired graphics.

For someone who wants wearable cruise merchandise, the multi-buy promotion could make sense for buying one item for yourself and another as a gift.

More Ship-Specific Carnival Celebration Merchandise

Another merchandise area again displayed the official Carnival Celebration model alongside additional shirts.

The 2-for-$40 ship T-shirt and hat promotion was also advertised here.

One thing worth noticing when shopping onboard is the difference between generic Carnival merchandise and Carnival Celebration-specific items. If the goal is to remember this particular cruise ship rather than Carnival in general, look closely at the branding before buying.

Carnival Celebration Magnets and Key Rings

Magnets and key rings are among the easiest cruise souvenirs to bring home because they’re small, inexpensive and take almost no luggage space.

The display photographed aboard Carnival Celebration included several ship-themed designs, along with colorful Celebration Key magnets.

There were Carnival Celebration magnets featuring images of the ship as well as designs using the ship’s name. Some of the Celebration Key souvenirs featured colorful destination branding.

The promotion shown during this visit was:

  • Key rings and magnets: 2 for $20

For passengers who collect a magnet from every cruise or destination, this was one of the most obvious souvenir displays onboard.

Carnival Celebration Artwork and Designs

Not everything in the shopping area was a conventional mug, shirt or magnet.

A wall display featured multiple Carnival Celebration designs, including artwork based around the ship, nautical flags, Carnival branding and technical-style ship graphics.

The display itself makes a nice visual showcase of Carnival Celebration’s branding and provides some inspiration for passengers looking for something more decorative than a standard cruise souvenir.

Pixels Gallery Photo Lanyards

There were additional Carnival lanyards available through Pixels Gallery.

These included a lanyard with a small photo locket and photo insert, allowing passengers to turn one of their cruise photographs into a wearable souvenir.

The sign showed:

  • Photo locket with lanyard and photo insert: $8.95 each
  • Buy two for $15

This is a different type of souvenir from the standard Carnival-logo lanyards because it can incorporate an actual photo from the cruise.

Carnival Funnel Candy Container

One of the more unusual Carnival souvenirs photographed onboard was a fillable container shaped like the cruise line’s famous whale-tail funnel.

The sign identified it as a Carnival-exclusive fillable funnel and stated that it holds up to one pound of candy.

The photographed price was:

  • Fillable Carnival funnel: $34.95

The transparent red design mimics Carnival’s distinctive funnel and makes this part candy container and part cruise souvenir.

It’s certainly more unusual than buying another magnet or coffee mug, and the shape is immediately recognizable as Carnival.

Are Carnival Celebration Souvenirs Worth Buying?

That depends heavily on what you collect.

Passengers who simply want a small reminder of their cruise have relatively straightforward choices such as magnets and key rings. Lanyards can be useful during the cruise itself, while mugs and shirts are practical souvenirs that can still be used once you’re home.

The Carnival Celebration model is a different proposition. At $65.95 during this sailing, it represented a considerably larger purchase, but it is also specifically tied to the ship and will probably appeal much more to cruise enthusiasts and ship-model collectors.

Based on the photographed promotions, buying two qualifying items could also make more sense than purchasing certain souvenirs individually.

The important thing is to check the actual signage when you sail. Cruise ship merchandise and promotions can change, and the prices photographed here shouldn’t be assumed to remain identical on every future Carnival Celebration itinerary.

Tips for Shopping on Carnival Celebration

If you’re planning to buy Carnival souvenirs during your cruise, a few simple strategies can help:

  • Look for merchandise that specifically says Carnival Celebration if you want a souvenir from the ship rather than generic Carnival merchandise.
  • Check promotional signs carefully because exclusions can apply to multi-item offers.
  • Compare different lanyard displays before purchasing, since the photos show several styles and price points.
  • Small souvenirs such as magnets and key rings are easier to pack than mugs or a ship model.
  • If you collect cruise ship models, check for the official Carnival Celebration model while onboard rather than assuming it will always be in stock.
  • Remember that merchandise selection, prices and promotions can change between sailings.

Carnival officially describes The Fun Shops as its onboard shopping operation, with merchandise that includes Carnival logo apparel and accessories. Carnival also confirms that merchandise purchases aboard Carnival Celebration are among the purchases handled through its onboard retail operation.

Final Thoughts on Carnival Celebration Souvenirs

Carnival Celebration has a good variety of souvenirs for passengers who want something to remember the ship by. The photographed selection ranged from simple $6.95 Carnival lanyards to a $65.95 official ship model, with mugs, shirts, hats, magnets, key rings and other novelty items in between.

For me, the most interesting merchandise is the stuff specifically connected to Carnival Celebration. A generic Carnival shirt can represent any sailing, but a Carnival Celebration model, mug or magnet immediately connects the souvenir to the actual ship.

If you’re planning a Carnival Celebration cruise and want to bring something home, take some time to browse the shops and look at the current promotions before deciding. There are enough price points and styles that you don’t have to spend much to bring home a reminder of the cruise.
