Carnival Celebration Club O2 Ages 15-17: Activities, Hours & Teen Schedule

Carnival Celebration has a dedicated space for older teens called Club O2, designed for guests ages 15 to 17. Unlike the programming for younger children, Club O2 focuses heavily on giving teens a place to socialize, meet other passengers their age, play games, participate in sports, attend parties, and join selected entertainment around the ship.

During my Carnival Celebration cruise, I saved the Club O2 information and activity schedules from the Carnival HUB app. They provide a useful look at what teenagers can expect onboard, from the first-day meet-and-greet activities to late-night parties, sports, crafts, shows, and plenty of unstructured social time.

For more Carnival information, CruisePrism readers can also explore our Carnival Dining Menus, Carnival Drink Lists, and Carnival Onboard Guides for more information about restaurants, schedules and onboard activities.

What Is Club O2 on Carnival Celebration?

Club O2 is Carnival Cruise Line’s teen program for passengers ages 15 through 17. The Carnival HUB description emphasizes that the experience is largely about giving teens choices: they can watch movies, listen to music, dance, participate in karaoke, attend parties, or simply hang out with other teenagers.

That social component is apparent throughout the daily program. Many scheduled periods are labeled “Socials,” “Icebreakers,” or “U Choose,” alongside more organized games, sports and themed events.

On the sailing shown here, the Carnival HUB app listed Club O2’s extension as 4149.

The app also showed two operating periods for the day captured in the screenshot:

• 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• 8:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.

Hours can vary by day and sailing, so families should always check the current Carnival HUB schedule once onboard rather than treating these times as a permanent schedule.

The Club O2 leader displayed for this particular sailing was Nomthandazo. Staffing can, of course, change between cruises.

Where Is Club O2 on Carnival Celebration?

Club O2 is located on Deck 17 Aft.

The Carnival HUB deck map places the teen club toward the aft section of Deck 17. Circle C, Carnival’s program for ages 12 to 14, is also shown nearby on the same deck.

Having both teen spaces in the same general part of the ship makes Deck 17 an important area for families traveling with older children and teenagers.

Club O2 Activities on Embarkation Day

The first day is particularly important for teens who want to participate in Club O2 because Carnival schedules opportunities to register, see the space and meet other teenagers early in the cruise.

On Day 1 in Miami, the Club O2 schedule included:

• 11:00 a.m. – Open House & Registration at Camp Ocean, Deck 4 Mid
• 2:00 p.m. – Open House & Registration at Club O2, Deck 17 Aft
• 3:45 p.m. – Sail Away at Lido, Deck 16 Mid
• 7:30 p.m. – Open House & Registration at Club O2
• 8:30 p.m. – Check Out Club O2
• 9:00 p.m. – Icebreakers
• 10:00 p.m. – Theme: Teen Color Challenge
• 11:00 p.m. – Welcome Aboard Party
• 12:00 a.m. – U Choose

The evening schedule shows why it can be worthwhile for teenagers to visit Club O2 on the first night rather than waiting until later in the cruise. Icebreakers are followed by a themed activity and Welcome Aboard Party, giving teens several opportunities to meet one another right at the beginning of the sailing.

Club O2 Schedule in Nassau

On Day 2 in Nassau, Club O2 programming began in the afternoon in the schedule captured from the Carnival HUB app.

Activities included:

• 3:00 p.m. – U Choose
• 3:30 p.m. – Games: Trivia
• 4:00 p.m. – Active: Mini Golf. Big Fun. at Mini Golf, Deck 18 Aft
• 5:00 p.m. – Craftworks: Messy Mania
• 8:00 p.m. – Icebreakers
• 8:15 p.m. – Games: Human Mummy Wrap
• 9:00 p.m. – Socials
• 9:30 p.m. – Theme: Totally Awesome Throwback Party
• 11:00 p.m. – ’80s Rock-n-Glow Party with Joey at Center Stage, Decks 6 & 7 Mid
• 11:45 p.m. – Late Night Snacks at Lido Marketplace, Deck 16 Aft
• 12:15 a.m. – U Choose

One thing that stands out is that Club O2 activities are not confined to the actual teen lounge. The schedule takes teenagers to other areas of Carnival Celebration for activities such as mini golf and the ’80s Rock-n-Glow Party.

The schedule also continues well into the night, including late-night snacks followed by another U Choose session after midnight.

Club O2 Activities on a Fun Day at Sea

Sea days provide a much broader window for onboard activities because guests are not leaving the ship for a port visit.

The first Fun Day at Sea shown in these screenshots had Club O2 activities beginning in the morning and continuing through late at night.

The schedule included:

• 9:00 a.m. – Build-A-Bear Workshop at Sea Party at Center Stage, Deck 6 Mid
• 10:00 a.m. – U Choose
• 12:00 p.m. – Scavenger Hunt: Digital
• 1:00 p.m. – Icebreakers
• 1:30 p.m. – Tricked!
• 2:00 p.m. – Active: Basketball at Sports Court, Deck 18 Aft
• 3:00 p.m. – Games: Group Games
• 8:00 p.m. – Games
• 8:30 p.m. – Craftworks: Jewelry Design
• 9:30 p.m. – Showtime: Amor Cubano at Grand Spectrum, Decks 6 & 7 Forward
• 10:15 p.m. – Teen Meet & Greet: Playlist Cast at Grand Spectrum, Deck 6 Forward
• 10:30 p.m. – Socials
• 11:00 p.m. – Theme: Hollywood
• 12:30 a.m. – U Choose

This is a good example of how varied Club O2 can be. A teenager could spend part of the afternoon playing basketball, return later for games and jewelry making, see a Carnival production show, meet members of the Playlist Cast, and finish the evening with a Hollywood-themed event.

There are also sizeable gaps in the schedule, so teens aren’t committed to spending the entire day inside Club O2.

Club O2 Activities During Amber Cove

Day 4 of this Carnival Celebration itinerary was Amber Cove, and Club O2 programming resumed in the afternoon.

The schedule shown in the Carnival HUB app included:

• 3:00 p.m. – U Choose
• 3:30 p.m. – Games: You Vs Staff
• 4:00 p.m. – Active: SportSquare at Sports Court, Deck 18 Aft
• 5:00 p.m. – Craftworks: Painting
• 8:00 p.m. – Icebreakers
• 8:30 p.m. – Games: Foosball Tournament
• 9:30 p.m. – Showtime: Color My World at Grand Spectrum, Decks 6 & 7 Forward
• 10:30 p.m. – Socials
• 11:00 p.m. – Theme: Kindergarten
• 12:30 a.m. – U Choose

Again, Carnival mixed activities inside Club O2 with events elsewhere on the ship. The teens could participate in SportSquare activities during the afternoon and attend Color My World in the Grand Spectrum later that evening before returning to Club O2 for more social programming.

Another Fun Day at Sea: Prom Court and White Hot Night

The screenshots also show the Club O2 evening program for another Fun Day at Sea later in the itinerary.

Only six Club O2 activities are visible for this portion of the day’s schedule:

• 8:00 p.m. – Socials
• 8:30 p.m. – Craftworks: DIY Creations
• 9:15 p.m. – Theme: Prom Court
• 10:45 p.m. – White Hot Night Party with Joey at Lido, Deck 16 Mid
• 11:45 p.m. – Late Night Snacks at Lido Marketplace, Deck 16 Aft
• 12:15 a.m. – U Choose

Because this screenshot displays only six results for the selected Club O2 filter, it should not be used to infer what may or may not have been offered earlier in the day. What it does show clearly is an evening built around social activities, a Prom Court theme, a larger shipwide party on the Lido Deck, late-night food and a final U Choose period.

What Kind of Activities Does Club O2 Offer?

Looking across the schedules from this Carnival Celebration sailing, Club O2 programming falls into several broad categories.

Social Activities

Socializing is a major part of Club O2. The daily program repeatedly includes:

• Icebreakers
• Socials
• U Choose
• Welcome Aboard Party
• Teen Meet & Greet
• Prom Court
• Themed parties

These activities are especially useful for teens who don’t already know anyone onboard.

Sports and Active Events

Club O2 also moves beyond the lounge for physical activities around Carnival Celebration.

Examples shown in the schedule include:

• Basketball
• Mini golf
• SportSquare
• Group games

Games and Competitions

There are several organized games and challenges, including:

• Trivia
• Human Mummy Wrap
• Digital scavenger hunt
• Tricked!
• You Vs Staff
• Foosball Tournament

Crafts

The schedule isn’t entirely sports and parties. Creative activities shown include:

• Messy Mania
• Jewelry Design
• Painting
• DIY Creations

Shows and Larger Carnival Events

Some Club O2 programming incorporates entertainment taking place elsewhere on Carnival Celebration.

The schedules shown here included:

• ’80s Rock-n-Glow Party
• Amor Cubano
• Teen Meet & Greet with the Playlist Cast
• Color My World
• White Hot Night Party

That gives teens the option of participating with their Club O2 group while still experiencing entertainment offered elsewhere around the ship.

Does Club O2 Stay Open Late?

Based on the Carnival HUB screenshots from this sailing, yes.

The day’s hours shown in the app extended until 1:00 a.m., and several daily programs included Club O2 activities after midnight.

Depending on the day, the final scheduled U Choose session began at 12:00 a.m., 12:15 a.m., or 12:30 a.m.

For families with older teenagers, this is worth knowing before the cruise. Club O2 is not simply a daytime youth program; a significant portion of its social programming takes place in the evening and late at night.

Club O2 vs. Circle C on Carnival Celebration

The most important distinction is age.

Club O2 is for ages 15 to 17, while Circle C is Carnival’s program for ages 12 to 14.

Both spaces are shown on Deck 17 of Carnival Celebration, but they have separate programming. Families traveling with teens in different age groups should check the Carnival HUB daily program for each club individually.

Tips for Using Club O2 on Carnival Celebration

The schedule from this sailing suggests a few useful strategies for families cruising with teenagers.

• Visit during the first day’s Open House & Registration periods.
• Check the Carnival HUB app every day because activities and times can change.
• Pay attention to activity locations because not everything happens inside Club O2.
• Don’t assume port days have no programming; the Nassau and Amber Cove schedules both included afternoon and evening activities.
• Look beyond the word “club.” Club O2 programming includes sports, crafts, shows, games, parties and casual social time.
• Check the late-night schedule, especially if your teen wants to attend the themed parties and social events.

Final Thoughts on Club O2

Club O2 on Carnival Celebration offers much more than a room where teenagers can hang out. The daily schedules from this sailing show a mix of sports, crafts, games, entertainment, parties and casual social time, with activities spread across several areas of the ship.

The strongest part of the program may be its flexibility. Teens can participate in organized activities such as basketball or trivia, attend a show with the group, join one of the themed parties, or simply use Socials and U Choose periods to spend time with other passengers their age.

For families traveling with a 15- to 17-year-old, it is worth checking Club O2 early on embarkation day. The first-night icebreakers and Welcome Aboard Party provide an immediate opportunity to meet other teens, while the rest of the cruise offers a changing daily program that extends from daytime activities to events after midnight.

As always, use the Carnival HUB app once onboard for the latest Club O2 hours, activities and locations, since the exact program can vary from one Carnival Celebration sailing to another.
